Kazakhstan: Green Investments Finance Project

Sovereign (Public) Project | 52312-002 Status: Proposed

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) proposes to provide a financial intermediation loan in Kazakhstan tenge (T) of up to $80 million equivalent to the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund (Damu). It will develop a financing mechanism to support adoption of green investments by the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and contribute to the faster recovery of Kazakhstan economy in a post-COVID world by strengthening of the long-term sustainability of MSME sector. The loan will be sovereign guaranteed by the Republic of Kazakhstan.
