|Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy||The proposed Agartala City Urban Development Project is part of an urban renewal and retrofitting strategic program by the Government of India in collaboration with respective states to make urban areas more livable, citizen-friendly, resilient and sustainable. It envisions developing the city's central and east zone as model area, based on area-based development, which is expected to have a ripple effect on other parts of the city and nearby cities and towns.|
