Capacity to analyze competition and consumer protection issues enhanced

Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues) A draft Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission Amendment Bill and associated explanatory note has been delivered to the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism, and Transport. The Bill is being reviewed by a working group, and consultations are to be organized. Given the impact of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the TA completion date has been extended to 30 June 2022.
