The proposed transaction technical assistance (TA) grant is designed to complement the ensuing loan of up to $100 million loan to Louis Dreyfus Company B.V. (LDC), for the Louis Dreyfus COVID-19 Climate Resilient Smallholder Farmer Recovery Project (Regional). The loan will support LDC working capital needs for the sustainable procurement of coffee, cotton, and rice from 60,000 smallholder farmers affected by coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across five countries in Asia, thus preserving farmer livelihoods and climate resilience.
