Regional : Support to the Implementation of Strategy 2030 Operational Plans
The knowledge and support technical assistance (TA) will support the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to operationalize Strategy 2030 through a cohesive approach to implementing the operational plans (OPs) for the seven operational priorities. The TA will (i) help integrate the OPs in country partnership strategies and projects; (ii) promote innovative knowledge solutions; (iii) support capacity development, and (iv) enhance monitoring and reporting of the OPs. Through these activities, ADB will assist developing member countries (DMCs) in becoming more prosperous, increasing resilience to economic and other shocks, and achieving sustainable and inclusive growth.

Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy | In October 2019, ADB approved the operational plans for each of the seven operational priorities of Strategy 2030 (S2030). This marked the beginning of a new course for ADB's efforts to respond effectively to the Asia and Pacific region's changing needs. Renewed efforts to address current and emerging issues in the region need to be prioritized in ADB developing member countries (DMCs). To support this, ADB will need to design country programs and design projects that use country-focused and differentiated approaches, deliver integrated solutions and multisectoral approaches, promote innovative technologies, expand private sector operations, develop capacity, and add value. Increased capacity and specialized expertise will also be needed to address remaining and emerging development issues in the region on poverty, inequality, gender equity, environmental sustainability, climate change and disaster risk management, urban development, rural development, food security, governance and regional cooperation and integration. | ||||||||||||
