Draft policy framework for an eco-compensation mechanism for ecological protection in the Yellow River basin prepared

Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues)

Extension of TA completion date until 31 March 2024 was approved on 28 February 2023. TA extension will allow sufficient time to complete tasks which have been delayed due to the impact of COVID-19. Survey conducted in Shandong, Qinghai and Ningxia provinces were completed in December 2022.

Interim review mission was conducted in June 2022, the timing of which was delayed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic affecting ability to conduct planned field visits. Interim report was submitted and accepted.
