China, People's Republic of : Building Climate Resilience through Adaptation Planning in the Yellow River Basin
The knowledge and support technical assistance (TA) cluster was approved on 28 October 2020 for $1.93 million financed on a grant basis by the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASFother sources). On 8 July 2021, an increase in TA cluster amount for $.90 million also from TASF-other sources was approved, bringing the total TA amount to $2.83 million. There are 10 active subprojects under the TA. As part of the strategic framework approach to support ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River basin, a minor change in the scope of the TA cluster and an increase in TA cluster amount are proposed to support the preparation of three additional subprojects, including Subproject 13. The Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Division of ADB's East Asia Department administers and coordinates the implementation of the TA cluster.

The Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Division of ADB's East Asia Department administers and coordinates the implementation of the TA cluster. Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy | 2.The TA cluster is part of ADB's Yellow River Ecological Corridor (YREC) initiative, which promotes a multisector and integrated approach for lending operations and nonlending services, including TA, policy dialogue, and knowledge sharing activities. The YREC program was shaped by ADB's experience from the Yangtze River Economic Belt initiative and aligns with the goals of the Outline of Ecological Protection and High-Quality Development Plan of the Yellow River. The TA cluster comprises a series of subprojects, each focused on different aspects of river basin management, to help achieve the aims of the YREC program in its six thematic areas of intervention. | ||||||
