Gender Equity and Mainstreaming Gender equity
Description The subproject will continue to support gender mainstreaming operations in Central and West Asia. It will assist in the integration of gender design features to meet GEN/EGM requirements in the current COVID context. It will carry on with the activities of subprojects 1 and 2 that support the implementation of GAPs and reporting on gender equality results.
Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy Gender interventions designed in pre-COVID situations may not be enough to address the targeted gender issues in current COVID context. Continuous capacity development and technical guidance to EAs/IAs in the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of GAPs need to be sustained amidst the evolving new normal.
