The TA will provide demand-based and just-in-time evaluation knowledge by developing and conducting evaluation workshops specific to the regional needs of ADB's member countries. These evaluation workshops will follow a differentiated approach that would reflect a region or a country's unique conditions to ensure that participants gain the appropriate knowledge needed to improve operations and create a common understanding of evaluation.

Description | The TA will provide demand-based and just-in-time evaluation knowledge by developing and conducting evaluation workshops specific to the regional needs of ADB's member countries. These evaluation workshops will follow a differentiated approach that would reflect a region or a country's unique conditions to ensure that participants gain the appropriate knowledge needed to improve operations and create a common understanding of evaluation.
Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy | Evaluation knowledge contributes to achieving development results by providing evidence-based evaluation feedback on performance, and by generating, communicating, and disseminating evaluation lessons in ADB operations and in countries. Strengthening evaluation capacity and systems are key to improving accountability and learning by providing evidence-based information, lessons and recommendations to ensure better project management and design. Building governments capacity to conduct evaluations of their own programs and policies as well as the programs funded by donors, will help them utilize evaluation knowledge for improved decision-making and, ultimately, greater development effectiveness.
