At the request of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is developing the Livable Cities Investment Project (LCIP) to facilitate long-term sustainable and economic growth across key secondary cities in Cambodia. The secondary cities of Bavet, Kampot, and Poipet were selected as part of the project, due to their economic potential and location at key trade and tourism zones, and their critical impact on regional cooperation and integration.
