Agency-Level Use of the Country Safeguard System for Indonesia's State Electricity Company: Summary of Consultation

Documents Produced Under Grant/Loans/TA | August 2018

The Government of Indonesia in late 2013 requested ADB to consider the use of Indonesia’s country safeguard systems (CSS) for environment and involuntary resettlement safeguards in future projects and programs financed by ADB. ADB conducted an initial assessment including a national-level equivalence assessment and an overview acceptability assessment for four sample sectors. ADB’s Safeguard Policy Statement and its Public Communication Policy (2011) require ADB to organize in-country consultations to solicit feedback from stakeholders including governments and civil society organizations (CSOs) on draft equivalence and acceptability assessments. This document provides a summary of the stakeholder consultation process conducted for this project.

Documents produced under projects are material produced in the course of the project, or as outputs.

This document dated August 2018 is provided for the ADB project 47287-001 in Indonesia.
