The proposed project follows the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) emergency assistance and vaccine projects of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the Kyrgyz Republic and ADB’s ongoing regional support. The project will be part of ADB’s long-term support for the health sector, building on good relations and policy dialogue developed over the years. It will contribute to regional health security (RHS) by improving health sector resilience to emerging and reemerging infectious diseases in the country. The report and recommendation of the President to the Board of Directors (RRP) document describes the terms and conditions of a project for consideration and approval by ADB's Board of Directors.
