The report and recommendation of the President to the Board of Directors (RRP) document describes the terms and conditions of a project for consideration and approval by ADB's Board of Directors. This document dated June 2017 is provided for the ADB project 48289-002 in Pakistan.
The project will help develop a sustainable urban transport system in Peshawar by delivering the city's first integrated bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor, directly benefiting 0.5 million people. The project will comprise two interlinked outputs: (i) the construction of a 26-kilometer BRT corridor and associated facilities, and (ii) effective project management and sustainable BRT operations through institutional developments.
