The project entails the financing of a portfolio of waste-to-energy plants to be constructed and operated by SUS, located primarily in second and third tier cities in the People’s Republic of China. SUS can treat municipal solid waste, biomass, sludge, kitchen, food, medical, construction, and electronic waste within Eco-Industrial Parks to achieve maximum resource recovery and minimize pollution, in a closed loop recycling system. The project targets total waste treatment capacity of 1.1 million tons per annum by 2020.
