The proposed project will support Guilin, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZAR), in its efforts to improve environmental and economic conditions through (i) strengthening institutional capacity to preserve the environment and to promote inclusive growth, (ii) reducing pollution and improving the environment of the Li River and its tributaries, and (iii) preserving cultural heritage and creating more livable places.

The report and recommendation of the President to the Board of Directors (RRP) document describes the terms and conditions of a project for consideration and approval by ADB's Board of Directors.
