Pacific Disaster Resilience Program: Report and Recommendation of the President
The program will improve the resilience of the participating countries to disasters triggered by natural hazards. It will support policy actions in disaster risk management (DRM), and provide participating ADB Pacific developing member countries (DMCs) with a source of contingent financing for timely disaster response, early recovery, and reconstruction activities. The attached technical assistance will support DRM in participating DMCs, and assess the options for, and potential costs and benefits from, a collaborative multi-country mechanism to provide contingent financing in the event of disasters triggered by natural hazards.
The report and recommendation of the President to the Board of Directors (RRP) document describes the terms and conditions of a project for consideration and approval by ADB's Board of Directors. This document dated November 2017 is provided for the ADB regional project 50028-001.
