This operational guidelines provides general information necessary in designing, planning, and implementing bio-engineering measures for slope protection and erosion control. It also contains a brief introduction to bio-engineering along with its implementation in the context of the Chattogram (or Chittagong) Hill Tracts (CHT) region and focuses on bio-engineering techniques suitable for roadside slope protection and the processes involved in selecting and implementing such techniques.
