In Nauru, the government has continued to increase budget allocations for existing social protection programs with the continued aim of providing basic essential services to vulnerable groups such as women, children, people with disabilities, pensioners, and the elderly.

The main social protection categories in which Nauru engages are social assistance with birth claims, death claims, pensions, and a school-feeding program. Social insurance involves pensions for superannuation contributors and ex-members of parliament.

Consultants' reports describe activities by a consultant or group of consultants related to preparing a technical assistance project.
