The Honiara wastewater project, including gravity sewers, rising mains, outfalls and pump stations, is one component/ sub-project of the Solomon Islands Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project (UWSSSP), financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank (WB) and European Union (EU), also referred to as the development partners throughout the document. The project will be implemented in a number of phases up until 2050. The subproject involves installing new sewers, and the connection of existing sewerage networks and community septic tanks into a new network.
