The project involves the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of a 457 MW grid-connected solar power plant, including a 50.5-kilometer (km) 220- kilovolt (kV) overhead transmission line (OHTL) connecting the plant to the national grid and other associated infrastructure. To provide 457 MW of power to the grid, Nur Sherabad will install bifacial solar photovoltaic (PV) modules with single-axis tracking - a feature that helps increase energy generation and decrease the cost per kilowatt-hour.

The report and recommendation of the President to the Board of Directors (RRP) document describes the terms and conditions of a project for consideration and approval by ADB's Board of Directors.
