Agence Française de Développement (AFD) is responsible for France’s bilateral ODA and operates in over 60 developing countries and in French Overseas Communities.
In May 2013, ADB and AFD signed an amended Framework Cofinancing Agreement for 2013–2016 with the aim of reaching $1.3 billion cofinancing from each over 3 years. The ADB–AFD partnership is limited to 18 common countries of operations for 2013–2016.
