This brief outlines key governance factors to consider for strategies and approaches that can improve long-term care (LTC) systems in Asia and the Pacific.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to LTC system governance. In this brief, examples of governance approaches in and outside Asia and the Pacific illustrate how LTC systems can be established and implemented according to the unique needs of countries. The brief also takes into account the need for reforms in LTC service delivery across the region to address systemic gaps arising from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
