The study on Nepal Public Debt Sustainability Analysis was undertaken by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 2001 to analyze the public debt sustainability of Nepal. The outcome of the study was intended to improve debt management by the Government of Nepal and to provide inputs for the Tenth Five Year Plan and other long-term perspective plans. It was also intended to assist the ADB to articulate its lending policy for Nepal based on country risk analysis.
