Our Work in the Pacific

Publication | May 2018

For almost half a century, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been partnering with Pacific developing countries to help them grow and prosper.

ADB is scaling up its assistance in the Pacific, with our active portfolio growing from $500 million in 2004 to $2.6 billion at the end of 2017. This support focuses on building infrastructure—transport, energy, water and sanitation, and information and communication technology (ICT). Our activities across the region seek to provide people and communities with the resources they need to thrive.

This brochure provides an overview of ADB's work in the Pacific, providing information on ADB's approach, its priorities, and its field offices.
