This policy note provides suggestions to help increase youth employment in the People's Republic of China following the coronavirus disease pandemic.

The pandemic worsened unemployment in the People's Republic of China, particularly for young people, with one-fifth of the country's youth population unemployed in 2022. This policy note's suggestions include making changes to the education system to meet demand for skills in the "new economy," expanding the labor capacity of the services sector, and developing labor markets in rural areas.
