Pakistan: National Trade Corridor Highway Investment Program (Tranche 2)
The program aimed to improve regional network for the movement of goods and people along Pakistan's E35 expressway. Tranche 2 had two targeted outputs which were the construction and operationalization of a 39.6-kilometer (km) E35 expressway connecting Hassanabdal and Sarai Saleh and improvement of the National Highway Authority’s (NHA) institutional capacity in social safeguards. This report validates the completion report's assessment of Tranche 2. IED overall assessment: Successful.

Bangladesh: Second Crop Diversification Project
The project was aimed at increasing rural incomes in targeted regions and at improving the efficiency and value addition in HVC production. People's Republic of China: Jiangxi Fuzhou Urban Integrated Infrastructure Improvement Project
The project was to build a well-designed multimodal transport infrastructure and integrated public transport services. Its target impact was an efficient, inclusive, and sustainable urban transport system in Fuzhou. This report validates the completion report's assessment of the project. India: Madhya Pradesh Energy Efficiency Improvement Investment Program – Tranche 1
The multitranche financing facility was approved to support ongoing medium-term power sector improvement initiatives of the three power distribution companies in Madhya Pradesh. Tranche 1 aimed to (i) install power supply feeders for irrigation pumps and rural residences; (ii) expand high voltage distribution system (HVDS) and aerial bundle conductors; (iii) provide new power connections; (iv) install energy meters for distribution transformers and feeders; (v) prepare distribution asset maps; and (vi) undertake network analysis models to improve power supply to rural households.

Indonesia: Emergency Assistance for Recovery and Rehabilitation from Recent Disasters
The program was to support relief work in West Nusa Tenggara and Central Sulawesi provinces, assess post-disaster needs, and prepare an action plan and projects for reconstruction. Its impact was socioeconomic impact of disasters reduced aligned with National Medium-Term Development Plan (Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional), 2015–2019. Its outcome was adverse social impact of the recent disasters on the poor mitigated. This report validates the completion report's assessment of the program. IED overall assessment: Successful.

Indonesia: Polytechnic Education Development Project
The project was to improve and increase access to quality, polytechnical vocational education in line with employers’ needs and the aspirations of graduates. It aimed to support workforce development in five of the eight priority industry subsectors identified in the MP3EI (manufacturing, agrobusiness, infrastructure, energy, mining, and tourism). The project supported key policy reforms to strengthen polytechnic education through an integrated approach addressing equitable access, graduate employment outcomes, subsector management, and suitability and quality of study programs.

Validation of Kazakhstan Country Partnership Strategy Final Review, 2017–2021
The Independent Evaluation Department (IED) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) validated the final review of ADB’s Kazakhstan country partnership strategy (CPS) 2017–2021. As in the CPS final review, the validation assessed ADB operations that were approved, ongoing, or closed from January 2017 to March 2021. The validation was primarily based on information presented in the CPS final review. It also used evidence gathered through document reviews, portfolio analysis, and consultations with stakeholders during a virtual mission conducted in September–October 2021.

People's Republic of China: Strategies for Involving Social Organizations in Social Assistance
The objective of this technical assistance (TA) was to assist the Ministry of Civil Affairs in developing strategies for involving social organizations in the delivery of social assistance as part of a broader government agenda of addressing concentrations of persistent poverty in the People’s Republic of China through improved quality and reach of social assistance to vulnerable households. This report validates the completion report's assessment of the TA. IED overall assessment is successful.
