The fund is a single-donor trust fund established in 1998 for infrastructure, private sector investment, transfer of environmentally sound technologies, and financial sector adjustment operations projects.

The priorities are infrastructure, private sector investment, transfer of environmentally sound technologies, and financial sector adjustment operations projects.

What kind of activities will be financed from the fund?

Any activity falling under the category of technical assistance (TA), which may include project preparation, strategic planning, promoting the transfer of technology, and fostering regional cooperation, among others.

Who is eligible to receive the grant?

All developing member countries of ADB are eligible for assistance under the fund. However, the Swiss Government requests ADB to give preference to Azerbaijan, the People’s Republic of China, India, Indonesia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Viet Nam

Switzerland supports the fund.
