Funds and Resources
ADB offers loans, grants, and technical assistance from Special Funds, Trust Funds, and other sources to help reduce poverty in Asia’s poorest countries.
The Multidonor Trust Fund under the Water Financing Partnership Facility was established in December 2006. The objective of the fund is to support implementation of the ADB’s Water Financing Program.
The priorities of this fund are closely in line with the facility. Its resources finance direct project support and program quality support.
The facility finances activities designed to result in significantly more people in the Asia and Pacific region with access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation, higher productivity and efficiency of irrigation and drainage services, more people with reduced risk of flooding, and more river basins implementing integrated water resources management. Detailed activities are closely in line with the facility.
All ADB developing member countries are eligible to receive support from the fund.
Australia, Austria, Norway, Spain, Switzerland support the fund.
