ADB and the Government of Niue has officially opened the ADB office in Alofi.
PLCO's Role
ADB’s PLCO in Sydney serves as the focal point for programming, processing, and administering assistance to Nauru, the Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. PLCO facilitates communications, knowledge sharing, and innovation through events and engages with and collaborates with academic and research institutions, civil society and other development partners.
The Sydney Office also serves and the focal point for:
Donor coordination and managing client relationships with Australia and New Zealand.
Managing and implementing three multi-donor funds–the Pacific Private Sector Development Initiative, the Pacific Region Infrastructure Facility, and the Pacific Partnership Facility.
Processing and administering finance sector operations across the Pacific Island Countries.
ADB and Australia
Australia has contributed $8.54 billion in capital subscription as of 31 December 2018. It has contributed and committed $2.86 billion to Special Funds since joining in 1966.
ADB and New Zealand
New Zealand has contributed $2.27 billion in capital subscription as of 31 December 2018. It has contributed and committed $198.69 million to Special Funds since joining in 1966.
