Strategy 2030 Sector Directional Guides
For each of ADB’s sectors and thematic areas, directional guides have been prepared to translate Strategy 2030 and its operational priorities into action at the sector and thematic level.
Strategy 2030 Sector Directional Guides
Strategy 2030 is ADB’s long-term strategic framework for achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient and sustainable Asia and Pacific. Strategy 2030 sets seven operational priorities, each with its own operational plan.
To complement the operational plans in translating Strategy 2030 and its operational priorities into action at the sector level, ADB has prepared a sector directional guide for each of the following sectors: education, energy, finance, health, transport, urban, and water.
The sector directional guides set out the overall direction, principles, and focus of ADB’s sector operations in support of Strategy 2030 while responding to the emerging and future needs of developing member countries. Particular focus will be on tackling climate change, harnessing opportunities offered by digitization, and supporting a green, inclusive and resilient post-COVID recovery.
The sector directional guides are intended to be living documents and will be updated from time to time in line with the evolving development landscape, changing client needs, and ADB priorities.
